Operative, Quality Control Inspector
Nightshift
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure conforming composite, metallic or tooling parts are released from Inspection to their next operation, be that manufacture operation or build task.
Role Dimensions:
The measurement of parts using any and all methods within McLaren Racing inspection capability, in order to deliver 3 core accountabilities.
The measurement of all required features of final race car parts prior to release to build
The measurement of all required features of sub components prior to release to their next operations
The measurement of all required features of tooling prior to release to their next operation
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
A fully indentured engineering background in precision engineering or similar industry
Experience working within a machine shop or within a first off inspection area is highly desirable.
Fully proficient metallics inspector across a fill spectrum of F1 products including proficiency in the listed equipment
Co-ordinate measurement machine (PC DIMIS)
Visual measurement machine
Contracer & surface finish
Handyscan
Manual inspection tools
Fully proficient composite inspector across a full spectrum of F1 products including proficiency in the listed equipment
MetroScan
Faro Arm & Scanner
Fully computer literate including experience using the following software
PCDIMIS online & offline essential
Dassault systems
VX elements
GOM inspect
Faro or Power Inspect
MS Office
Javelin ERP system
Full understanding of GD&T
A keen and able problem solver that is able to translate faults in quotative data and present in an understandable manner for machining department to rectify
