Summary: Responsible for the setup and operation of welding machines by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sets up and operates welding machines to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts, and verbal instructions.
- Regulates flow of gases for proper mixture.
- Maintains tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- MIG & TIG experience
- Complies with company policies and procedures while paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Uses inspection gauges such as verniers, scales, micrometers and pin gauges.
- Follows blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
- Reports production discrepancies to management.
- Performs inspection of completed product in accordance with company quality standards.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Specialized Training:
One to two years of vocational training in welding preferred.
