Role Overview

Based: Munich, Germany

As the Project Manager, Construction you will be responsible for managing the development of the real estate portfolio of Fisker Brand Experience Centers as well as all other Fisker facilities related to the sales & service of Fisker vehicles in the Europe.  This person must have a construction background with project management experience.   This role will directly manage projects in Europe and must have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Project oversight from real estate hand-off through design, construction execution and ultimate handover to Retail Operations

  • Creation and management of project budgets

  • Managing multiple projects at various stages of concept, design, execution and close-out

  • Direct management of general contractor including budget, schedule and quality control

  • Direct management of RFP/general contractor selection process

  • Direct management of contractor invoice review and approval

  • Project budget tracking and forecasting

  • Project handover and close-out

  • Maintain weekly reporting to update executive management and cross-functional team members on the project status from lease execution through completion

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study (Architecture, Structural Engineering, Construction Management) or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability

  • 5+ years of experience in construction and project management

  • Extensive knowledge of construction administration process including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement

  • Automotive, fashion retail or hospitality experience preferred

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills

  • Experience with municipal planning and zoning procedures preferred 

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Presentation and communication skills required

  • Passion for electric vehicles and sustainability

  • Ability to travel

  • Language: Fluent in English and German. Any other European languages would be an added benefit.
