Production Operator

Production Operator 1 is responsible for setting up and running robotically tended CNC machining centers while manufacturing quality parts in a timely manner. This individual measures manufactured parts with designated measuring instruments to verify parts are within specification to print. Problem solving skills are required to identify root cause machine and part issues. The Production Operator 1 works with other shop personnel in a team atmosphere to keep machines clean and running per provided Preventative Maintenance sheets. 

Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience 
  • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)  
  • Completion of Rekluse Operator Assistant training 
  • Positive attitude and able to work as a team 
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Familiar with OSHA compliance and Manufacturing Safety Guidelines 
  • Detail oriented, responsible, with excellent organizational skills 
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines 
  • Understanding of manufacturing process and associated software 
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Computer proficiency 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Good understanding of relational databases, excel, and word  
  •  Excellent work ethic
  • Able to train and develop Operator Assistants  
  • Excellent team player 

Functional Outline 

  • All Operator Assistant responsibilities per the Ops Assistant Position Plan 
  • Able to run and hand load all robotically tended machines 
  • Setup, hand load, change tools and toolsets 
  • Make offsets for CNC machines 
  • Able to troubleshoot and recover CNC machines 
  • Troubleshoot Versabuilt robotic tending centers for issue resolution 
  • Follow all quality procedures 
  • Use designated measuring techniques for each part family 
  • Discipline in First Article Inspections per the Rekluse Quality Plan 
  • Engineering print reading and inspection tool use to verify parts 
  • Knows setup sheets, quality plans and computerized tracking systems 
  • Keep machinery and tooling in good working order, 
  • Follow daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedule 
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area 
  • Basic computer skills including MS office products 
  • Communicate issues effectively to appropriate individuals 
  • Mentor operator assistants in all production processes 
  • Assist production lead with pass down notes and morning meetings 
  • Commit to continuous improvement 
  • Learning to and/or able to read "G" code 
  • Follow all safety requirements per OSHA and Rekluse Safety Policy

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and have finger dexterity; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and Able to adjust focus. 

 

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment is required including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection.
