PLM Specialist

Reporting to the PLM System Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running and system improvements of the McLaren Racing PLM/CAD solution.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide 1st line support from questions and operational issues that need immediate resolution.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support in development of the PLM solutions, methods, best practices and integrations to external systems
  • Requirements capture, specification writing for changes, new features and interfaces.
  • Play a key role in the technical rollout of future system and process enhancements.
  • Configure and test our PLM system based on business requirements and industry best-practices.
  • Assist in identifying additional system value and process improvements.
  • Assisting data migration activities, and system interfaces.
  • System monitoring and reporting, preventative actions for system stability.
  • Proactively engage in system improvements, converting requirements into solutions.
  • Monitor the quality of our PLM data, ensuring data accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Demonstrate high level of understanding of Dassualt Systemes 3DExperience platform in an engineering environment.
  • Strong experience in developing, deploying and supporting PLM solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of PLM software best-practices and methodologies.
  • Proven experience providing effective operational support for PLM.
  • Strong understanding of 3DExperience people and organisation.
  • Good knowledge of PDM, BOM structures, Change Management.
  • Experienced in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Proven track record in project execution and delivering system improvements.
  • Effective communicator demonstrating interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.

Preferable

  • Qualified to Degree level in Engineering / Business systems.
  • Understanding of infrastructure requirements for application servers.
  • Enthusiastic, inquisitive, and agile approach to complex tasks management.
  • MQL, Collaborative Space Admin, and Route Template experience.
  • Technically minded and confident conducting technical dialogue with colleagues and technology partners.
  • Basic understanding of modern design and manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of programming in languages such as VB.Net.
