PLM Business Partner

The position:

We are looking to recruit a PLM Business Partner to provide the link between IT and Vehicle Design as Business Partner for Teamcenter administration, development, training, and support.

The role:

The work in this role will be broken down into 4 main areas of work:

  • At Elbow Support / Resolving helpdesk tickets for Vehicle Design
  • Mentoring / Training
  • Project based work – Process Development / Improvement.
  • Day to day system administration

Operational Duties & Key Objectives:

  • As Business Partner it will be your responsibility to ensure a good relationship is maintained between IT and Vehicle Design.
  • Will be involved on larger site wide projects with focus on delivering success for Vehicle Design.
  • Liaise and work with the rest of IT Engineering Systems to ensure joined up thinking and development.
  • Collaborate with the Vehicle Design Head of Quality to help identify areas to develop.
  • Working with the Small Working Groups to ensure Business Governance is followed.
  • Deliver end user training and mentoring.
  • Manage and develop training material.
  • Authoring and maintaining system administration and end user documentation.
  • Support existing configuration in line with developing business requirements and best practice, along with associated user acceptance testing.
  • Flexibility to work extended or cover out of hour’s upgrades or outages.

Core Skills:

  • Experienced Teamcenter UA System Administrator.
  • Knowledge of TC10 or later (Ideally TC12).
  • Basic scripting or programming.
  • Quick and effective at problem solving.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, interpersonal and telephone.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working with minimum supervision under pressure.
  • Leads by example and a team player with an openminded, responsible and constructive attitude.

Additional Skills Advantageous to Role (but not Essential):

  • Teamcenter (4 Tier) installation, configuration, patching and monitoring.
  • Teamcenter Workflow deployment and management.
  • BMIDE Configuration.
  • Teamcenter Reporting and Analytics report creation.
  • Understanding of Siemens NX (NX9 or later, ideally NX-1847 Series).
  • Support experience.
  • Trainer experience.
  • Teamcenter Change Management.
  • Teamcenter Visualisation.
  • Data import and export.
  • VM-Ware, MS Server.
  • Basic DB admin (Oracle).
  • SharePoint and Microsoft Teams creation and administration.
  • Previous project management experience.
