Performance Technician

Position Description

As Performance Technician, you are who brings our customers' dreams to life!  Our consultants bring in well-planned projects and you make them happen with full support of our operations & support staff.  Your focus as Performance Technician is to achieve the project goal (desired result within time available) while adhering to Company quality standards -- any tasks outside of this focus (customer communication, project scheduling, parts ordering, dyno tuning, etc.) are carried out by other team members to fully support your work.

Required Characteristics

  • Passionate -- our work is driven by passion, both from ourselves and our customers.  You MUST be genuinely passionate for the high-performance automotive industry.
  • Professional -- our people are the Company, and you are always representing National Speed.  You MUST conduct yourself in a professional manner both inside and outside of business hours.
  • Team Player -- we are a tight team, and our success is interdependent upon one another.  You MUST be a team player.
  • Quality Driven -- quality is a representation of pride; terms such as "good enough" or "no one's ever going to see it" are not acceptable with this team.  You MUST take pride in your work.
  • Growth Driven -- if you're not interested in acquiring new skills and knowledge, then we're not the Company for you.  You MUST be driven to grow and intellectually curious.
  • Adaptive -- we work on a wide variety of vehicles; going from a '12 Nissan GT-R to a '10 Cadillac CTS-V to an '07 BMW 335i in the same day is commonplace.  You MUST be adaptive and able to quickly grasp new concepts.
