Parking Attendant

Nestled on more than 1,400 acres in the Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is a track rich in racing history. It has been the love of NASCAR racing and the thrill of a great time that has made it a favorite of race fans and drivers alike for more than 50 years. Michigan International Speedway has more than 12 campground and is the state of Michigan’s largest registered campground. In addition to two great weekends of racing, the speedway is home to events throughout the year including the MIS Backyard Hockey Tournament, Faster Horses Festival and Nite Lites.

Michigan International Speedway Parking Attendant employees are responsible for directing traffic safely to open parking spots as directed by management while providing excellent customer service.   

  • Evaluate parking area to ensure optimal utilization of parking area and maintain safety of all guests as well as exiting guests safely off the property
  • Ensure compliance to safety regulations and company policies
  • Ensure traffic flow and parking allows for access of emergency vehicles
  • Maintain knowledge of facility and event, i.e. providing directions
  • Assist with clean-up of debris from parking lots when needed
  • Utilize hand signals and lights to direct guests into open spots
  • Position and move barricades, cones and signage as needed
  • Manage and resolve guest questions while providing excellent customer service
  • Communicate with supervisors with relevant information of guests violating rules or if suspicious activity is observed
  • Cell phone usage is prohibited while parking vehicles 
  • Individuals driving rental vehicles and/or golf carts must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle license inspection.

Michigan International Speedway is looking for individuals with great attitudes and customer service to join our Parking Services team. As a Parking Services Attendant, you must be able to walk and stand for your entire shift.  In addition, parking attendants will be required to direct traffic by utilizing a flag or arms.  These positions are located outside and attendants must be prepared to work in all- weather including windy, muddy or rainy conditions.
