Network Engineer

To help deliver against this global vision we are seeking a Network Engineer to commission, maintain and operate the Formula 1 IT Network Infrastructure and ensure it continues to meet ongoing business objectives.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 

As a Network Engineer, you will report to the IT Network Manager and will be part of a team responsible for:

  • Commissioning and maintaining the IT Network Infrastructure at fixed sites
  • To rig, commission and then following the event de-rig the IT Network Infrastructure at Grand Prix events
  • To have a positive input on upgrade designs and planning
  • To be responsible for operational systems and intervene where and when required
  • To ensure the IT Network Infrastructure is compliant with GPDR regulation and SOX compliance
  • To share knowledge and experience with team members in a manner that enhances the overall performance of the team
  • To provide and maintain a secure IT working environment for the business
  • To provide user support as necessary within the organisation
  • To be available to work on the IT Network Infrastructure outside of usual ‘Business Hours’, both planned and unplanned (on-call)
  • To be available to work remotely on systems at the Broadcast Centre during ‘event hours’
  • To travel when required to Grand Prix events to be part of a team supporting the IT Network Infrastructure
  • To travel when required to colocation Data Centres and other and partners business premises
  • To support the IT Network Manager in ensuring that the IT Network Infrastructure meets ongoing business objectives
  • To complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.
  • To operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements.
