Motorsports Partnerships Coordinator

Hagerty, an automotive lifestyle brand for people who love cars and love driving them has an opportunity for a Motorsports Partnerships Coordinator to serve as a lead resource for National and Regional motorsports events, and manage and develop a network of external partners/sponsorships that will help execute the Hagerty Motorsports vision and strategy. This role will be based in our Traverse City, MI office.

What You’ll Do:

Event Execution

  • Develop a KPI-driven motorsports event strategy to foster motorsports program growth and drive awareness of our motorsports brand.
  • Assist with the execution of Hagerty Motorsports events; facilitate planning, develop clear timelines and establish deliverable lists all while maintaining budget guidelines.
  • Create and send detailed events reporting to internal teams and leadership, including ROI, wins and suggested improvements.
  • Assist with post-event recaps with the event and/or venue in conjunction with internal sales and executive teams after the conclusion of the event.
  • Provide expertise and knowledge sharing of motorsports program including MSR and Commercial to drive motorsports program execution tactics.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams including management, marketing, brand, legal, risk and finance in the delivery of motorsports events.
  • Manage and maintain motorsports event budgets to ensure budgets are maximized.

Partnership Management

  • Working closely with our Marketing AE, ensure execution of partnership contract deliverables with key Motorsports partners.
  • Communicate and help facilitate Motorsports partner opportunities to Regional teams.
  • Negotiate contracts to maximize Hagerty’s presence and brand onsite, and leverage relationships to activate unique engagement and membership specific events.
  • Identify additional opportunities to leverage partnerships to drive sales of Hagerty product offerings.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Proven experience in planning and organizing events
  • Superior organizational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Mastery-level project and time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive energy and attitude while gracefully handling stress in the face of challenges and deadlines
  • Ability to multitask, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks
  • Able to handle a broad spectrum of day-to-day work responsibilities as related to Hagerty Drivers Club Membership and Signature Events
  • Excellent leadership and coaching ability; can successfully motivate a range of employees on the road, often managing up
  • Experience and comfort with Executive level interactions
  • Ability to manage timelines necessary to meet demanding and tight deliverables schedule and deadlines, demonstrate great follow through skills to successfully meet deadlines and project dates
  • Flexibility to travel, including nights and weekends, roughly 45-60 days a year. Extensive event travel is required for this position
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills across multiple business units and regions
  • Comfort with public speaking and addressing large groups of people
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks (lifting over 20lbs, standing and walking for long periods of time)
