Motorsport Lecturer

We are looking for a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle/Motorsport to join our team within the Faculty of Business, Construction and Engineering at Tonbridge.

As a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle/Motorsport you will work as a member of a team to deliver a co-ordinated, integrated learning programme ensuring that students receive a high quality learning experience and achieve success.

The ideal candidate will have a teaching Qualification, e.g. DTTLS, PGCE, Certificate of Education or equivalent, or the desire to achieve within the first two years of service, broad experience of working within the automotive Industry and experience of writing programmes, which satisfy the specifications, laid out by different awarding bodies. A level 2 qualification or equivalent in maths and English is essential.

We want to ensure the best quality of teaching for our students and we expect all unqualified Lecturers and Assessor to complete a Diploma in Education and Teaching (DET) (or equivalent) and we ask that new staff enrol on the first available course.

As well as offering excellent training facilities, the College will support you with a reduced teaching commitment in your first year, generous annual leave entitlement, access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. On top of this, the College offers financial support when you complete Initial Teacher Training course via West Kent and Ashford College. You will receive £600 at the end of your first year of employment at the College as a fully qualified teacher and £750 at the end of the second year of employment.

Salary: £24,202 - £32,463 per annum
