We are looking for a Part Time analyst to cover various Motorsport disciplines from our Leeds office. The role will require weekend (Fri-Sun) and early morning work, dependant on the start times of the sessions. Disciplines: Formula 1, MotoGP, SuperBikes, V8 Supercars
Job Purpose
To provide live lap by lap data of some of the worlds biggest Motorsport competitions to clients world wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Collection of live performance data from various motorsport competitions via a bespoke collection client.
- Maintenance of the motorsport database to ensure correct and up to date information is sent to clients – such as driver affiliations and race information
- Answering and, where applicable, resolving client queries revolving around data collected
- Confirmation and clarification of data collected via official sources where possible and appropriate.
Personal Competencies Required
- Reliability and Availability – Analysts are expected to be available for the vast majority of sessions. This means working weekends and early mornings when needed.
- Understanding of the sport – Desirable analysts would have an established knowledge of one or more of the collected motorsport disciplines.
- Punctuality – Analysts must check in via Skype before a session to let all support channels aware that they are in position at least half an hour before the start of the session.
- Diligence and Communication – Though support is provided and all analysts will be based in office, the motorsport analyst will be expected to work under minimal supervision. Any issues must be raised to a supervisor who can provide support.
Requirements
Must be able to travel to our office in Leeds for all sessions (incl. early morning).
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
We aim to interview viable candidates as soon as possible, either in person or via Skype.
Any successful candidates must then be available for a one day training session where they will shadow an experienced analyst. Further support will be available to new analysts.
