We are excited to announce the upcoming opening of TRAX MX, a new off-road training facility on Preston Docks, Lancashire (formerly known as Preston Docks MX). We are currently recruiting for the position of Motocross Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of off-road racing and be ready for their next challenge. In addition to the main pro track our riders will be familiar with, there will be a new sand track, junior, cadet, enduro and electric tracks, and our training programmes will be tailored to riders both young and not so young, of all abilities.
The following skills and experience will be beneficial:
- Proven experience in management
- Experience of leading a small team and responsibility for training as well as the co-ordination of rotas
- Good basic IT and willingness to learn new skills as the site will operate an online booking and timing system
- Strong relationship skills, client management experience and leadership skills as well as the proven ability to work with and be part of a diverse team
- The ability to demonstrate and implement the importance of health and safety, as it relates to a motocross track
- Proven organisational skills and event and/or site management experience
- Diplomacy as well as the ability to make tough decisions
- Adaptability and solution finding skills
- Proven ability to work with young people, ideally in a training or education environment, would be advantageous
The role would suit someone with an interest in motorsport and / or the leisure industry.
Good salary and remuneration, dependent upon experience & qualifications.
The position would involve working a rolling rota across weekends throughout the calendar year (except Christmas and Boxing Days).
