Williams is one of the world’s most established Formula 1 teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it has been winning Grands Prix for more than three decades. The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motorsport since the 1960s.

The position:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Metallic manufacturing manager for our 24/7 machine-shop facility supporting all projects across the Williams group.

The role:

The role consists of managing a team of 40+ highly skilled programmers, machinists, production controllers and fabricators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will responsible for ensuring on-time delivery, quality and asset utilisation targets are successfully achieved to meet the needs of the business.

Working closely with Senior management, design office, dept heads, HR and planning to formulate objectives and understand requirements.

Skills

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of machining techniques and production planning tools along with strong leadership and team development skills.

 A proven track record in implementing continuous improvement and efficiency gains to optimise available resources.

You will have excellent communication and people skills along with a passion to make a difference and implement positive change through proactive leadership

Education and experience:

  • Degree or first line management qualification.
  • A proven track record of working in a similar metallic machining environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processs and techniques.
  • Planning and organising
  • Influencing and leading
  • Solid computer skills
