Job Description

NASCAR Media Ventures seeks a talented professional to join us in the role of Media Specialist I based in our Charlotte, NC office. Media Specialists are responsible for ingesting footage, setting up records, and delivering content to internal and external clients.

 

 

Non-traditional work schedule, including nights and weekends. Travel Required: Less than 10%

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Fulfill ingestion and distribution requests from outside clients
  • Facilitate requests from the company’s Competition and Research & Development departments
  • Test and provide feedback for workflows implemented by Production Technology department
  • Work efficiency evaluation for ingest and delivery workflows
  • Coordinate and monitor digital streams and ensure proper specifications are met; upload files for VOD archive
  • Process film and digital media (ENG cards, footage pulls, setting up records)
  • Maintain the Production Network (SAN)
  • On-call rotation for offsite ingestion of race content and system monitoring
  • Update SharePoint for the company’s Production as content is available for edit

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus two (2) years of experience in Information Technology or similar computer support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be proficient with editing programs (Adobe Premier, Final Cut, and/or Avid)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of video technology; frame size, frame rate, codec
  • Quality Control experience; ability to troubleshoot and ensure accuracy of video output
  • Experience with HTML, After Effects, social media streaming
  • Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Experience with File Transfer Protocol (FTP) using Aspera or similar program
