Media Relations

Alpinestars is currently adding positions to its Media Department. Main responsibilities will be overall brand communication for Alpinestars? Motorcycle division; company identity and product awareness, through external media communications/relations and public relations outreach, at sporting events and trade shows.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This key role requires initiating, developing and maintaining relationships on all levels of motor sports media, including print and new media. Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Develop relationships and pitch to U.S. media in order to create opportunities that keep the company and its products in front of the public and the trade
  • Develop compelling ways in which to present product to members of the media
  • Maintain and develop media contact list and media distribution lists
  • Track media coverage and report back to Alpinestars stakeholders
  • Develop full understanding of the features, benefits, and positioning of Alpinestars products across the Motorcycle, Auto and Cycling divisions

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: The position would suit candidates that have experience working in media communication within the action/motor sports industry, in particular, motor/auto sports. Successful candidate should have:

  • Outstanding knowledge of the action/motor sports industry and endemic media relations/public relations/corporate communications.
  • Exemplary English written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Experience in media communications
  • Ability to travel and to work weekends
  • Familiarity with lifestyle and motorsports periodicals
  • Strong drive to succeed & great relationship development skills
