We have grown our audience to more than 61 million monthly active users and over 20 million social media followers. Motorsport Events is a specialist motorsport experiences division, within Motorsport Network, compromising of e-commerce motorsport ticketing, travel, trackdays, and experiential events businesses. 

 

Purpose of the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager to join our marketing team based in London, to lead on travel side of the business, alongside two other peer level managers doing the same on tickets and trackdays / events. The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of all marketing campaigns and the timely delivery of all marketing communications. A broad hands-on and challenge team liaison role well suited to an ambitious self-starter. 

 

Principle Accountabilities

  • With a dedicated business support team at your disposal, you will generate brand awareness for the travel products globally, leading the creation and delivery of an integrated year-round campaign programme that is impactful, timely and results orientated that speaks to both new and existing customers
  • Own the rolling 12month marketing communications plan, inc. management of third-party PR & Affiliate agency
  • Oversee campaign creation and timely delivery of all associated elements for all channels
  • Lead the integrating the associated brands into wider parent brand, and associated customer messaging
  • Lead creation and ongoing review of audience and consumer segmentation data and use that to shape activation strategy, alongside data analytics and SEO keywords provided from within the wider marketing function
  • Work with data team and competitive insights to identify content opportunities that will contribute to traffic growth and website engagement
  • Create and deliver a customer feedback and understanding programme to drive future thinking
  • Liaise with the event accounts team to deliver associated site content, maximise site conversion & sales
  • Own delivery of weekly and monthly dashboard reports from which to analyse performance
  • Conduct continual analysis of competitor activity both onsite and across digital marketing channels, as well as the key market trends, new regulations and developments
  • Report on and recommend digital marketing innovation, applications and technologies
  • Enforce branding guidelines and policies
  • Collaborate with the graphic design team to ensure high quality UX across the whole site
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to build of the wider marketing strategy

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes Required:

  • Digital Marketing Degree educated
  •  5-7 years’+ experience in a fast-paced ecommerce environment
  • Significant experience in development and hands-on implementation of digital marketing campaigns
  • A track record of success with demonstrable experience of achieving superb results in terms of content engagement, and email marketing, with working knowledge of email tools (MailChimp, Dotmailer etc…)
  • Proven ability to writing engaging and creative content to reach targeted audiences, and vary to individual channel needs
  • Highly data-driven and a very commercial mindset
  • Excellent ability to use Google Analytics
  • Good knowledge of SEO, paid search, display, cart abandonment, retargeting, email and social media best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills with an ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
  • Strong organisational, project skills with excellent team-working skills
  • A strong collaborator, able to consider issues from a breadth of perspectives and to work effectively across channels, divisions and functions
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse workload and working under pressure
  • Have experience of briefing technical teams to change website architecture to improve customer journey
  • Worked in a B2C digital marketing role previously, ideally travel
