Published monthly, Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Magazine is widely recognized as “The Voice of the Racing Marketplace.” From its inception in 1986, PRI has been a key source of industry trends and information, as well as merchandising ideas, new products, business strategies and much more. It is the industry’s most influential and closely read publication, with issues ranging from 120 and 400 pages.

The Performance Racing Industry Trade Show serves tens of thousands of racing industry professionals from all 50 states and 70 countries. The Show features more than 1,100 companies exhibiting in 3,400 booths throughout the Indiana Convention Center. Thousands of new race products, services, machinery, simulation & testing technologies, and trailer exhibits are on display each year, making PRI the world's largest and most important gathering of motorsports professionals.

Acquired by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) in 2012, PRI continues to thrive as the premier business-to-business marketplace for the hardcore racing industry.

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our marketing team.

PURPOSE

Assist with the coordination of all PRI marketing related Trade Show, Magazine, Social Media and Sales projects. Manage project details to ensure that projects are implemented correctly and on schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

  • Assist Marketing Manager with:
    • Research marketing outreach opportunities
    • Meeting scheduling
    • Travel planning
    • Meeting follow up
  • Coordinate marketing schedules.
    • Work with Marketing manager to establish and maintain the annual marketing calendar.
    • Monitor project calendar to ensure all is progressing, approved and completed on time.
  • Assist with marketing research and analytics collection.
    • Provide weekly marketing analytics reports.
    • Assist with preparation of bi-weekly EMT marketing reports.
    • Track key statistics and note performance milestones.
  • Assist with marketing project copy/content creation.
  • Represent PRI marketing as project contact for print and digital vendors.
  • Manage project logistics for print and digital promotions.
    • Maintain job ticket system.
    • Collaborate with Art Director to obtain project estimates.
    • Coordinate project delivery and mailing details with Circulation Manager as needed.
  • Assist with marketing department accounting tasks.
    • Create and submit marketing purchase orders.
    • Review, code and submit invoices for manager approval.
    • Work with accounting team to follow up on payments and troubleshoot billing issues.
  • Organize and file documents for future reference.
  • Assist with bi-weekly Marketing team meeting scheduling, prep and follow up.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Report to Marketing Manager.
  • Coordinate with Trade Show, Editorial, Art, Sales, Circulation, outside vendors and media regarding schedules, specifications, pricing and delivery.
  • Interface with all levels of PRI staff as well as PRI customers.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
  • 1+ years experience working with Marketing strategy, implementation, analytics and related tools.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Understanding of publishing and production coordination tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate or above proficiency in Excel is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe graphics applications and file formats.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and make solid decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Copywriting experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills.
