We have a new opportunity to be part of the Machine Shop team in the role of Material Controller.

 

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, proactive and have a 'can do' attitude.

 

The successful candidate must:

  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of warehouse management
  • Be computer literate
  • Possess a thorough understanding of ERP systems
  • Hold a forklift license
  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards working hours
  • Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements on the role in which employed
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
  • To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
  • Be results orientated and be confident in decision making skills
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to health and safety

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control the raw materials warehouse
  • Material loading and unloading
  • Manage and control the consumables stores
  • Preparation and allocation of raw materials to production orders
  • Goods in and goods out booking
  • To review and continuously improve the materials warehouse
  • To keep the ERP system up to date with latest transactions
  • To attend and proactively participate in meetings as required
  • To lead by example
  • To meet the requirements and demands of the busy periods
