Your Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assembles component parts to specifications in a manner, which is consistent with the company’s quality and productivity standards.
- Inspect all parts for cosmetic defects. Examples: scratches in paint, scratches in chrome on piston rods, damaged dust covers, etc.
- Inspect all parts for proper assembly. Examples: stake mark on piston rod, snap ring seated in internal groove, engraving in place and legible, etc.
- Tag any non-conforming parts with re-work labels and place in re-work bin.
- Ensure all parts are assembled per specification.
- Maintain a clean workstation.
- Learn and support company quality policy.
- Assemble all parts per company specifications.
- Set up machines per work instructions.
- Assemble parts per drawings.
- Assemble parts to meet customer expectations.
- Demonstrate willingness to do whatever it takes to meet customer requirements: Examples: Work Saturdays on short notice, Work overtime on short notice, etc.
- Learn all machines in work area.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrate a willingness to move to other lines and workstations to fill company needs.
- Assemble parts to meet customer expectations.
- Follows all safety guidelines, required to wear Personal Protective Equipment
Your Profile
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Use of hand tools and equipment .
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
