The position:
The quality of our wind tunnel and track tests are critical to the success of the aerodynamic program. We need best in class instrumentation which can be deployed with total confidence in the data we collect. This role supports both the development of new instrumentation and the support to ensure success every test.
Key operational Duties:
Manufacture of looms and associated components for wind tunnel models and race car instrumentation.
Maintenance and servicing of aerodynamic test instrumentation to ensure the highest level of data can be collected during every wind tunnel or track test.
Contributing to WT model changes in order to ensure a good understanding of the WT model environment.
Supporting the development of new instrumentation during design, mock-up and manufacturing stages.
Conduct testing and calibration of new instrumentation
Ideal Credentials:
Excellent team player able to work effectively with other groups.
Strong electrical/electronic and wiring skills as well as mechanical skills.
Drive and ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, with a flexible approach to working hours.
Extensive experience of manufacturing in motorsport, ideally within an aerodynamics department.
