Licensing Executive - Consumer Products

The Licensing Account Executive will report to the CP Licensing Manager to drive commercial upside and engage fans with Formula 1, through strong licensing partners.

This will involve supporting all partnerships within Formula 1’s existing Consumer Product licensing portfolio, including being the account lead for some licensees as well as supporting with new licensee development, in line with business objectives.

  • Assist in the account management of key Consumer product licensees, across a wide array of categories, including, but not limited to, games & collectibles, apparel & accessories, personal care and publishing.

  • Work with internal departments to better support licensees and ensure we can deliver revenue growth through those licensees.

  • Liaise with F1 teams and other external stakeholders to support the licensing programme and maximise opportunities.

Licensing Account Executive Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the Licensing programme to deliver key objectives in fan engagement and revenue growth.

  • Support the management of key licensees across consumer products, including product approvals, product launches, financial reporting and logistics, developing key partner relations to support continued growth.

  • Sole management of day-to-day relationships with select consumer product licensees.

  • Develop a deep understanding of partner delivery timelines, commercial objectives, growth strategies and KPIs.

  • Support the wider team in agreeing new partnerships and renewals.

  • Management of the CP licensing budget, forecasting, collection of royalty reports and invoicing for all CP licensees.

  • Overall administrative responsibilities for the CP team including, upkeep of the Licensee/Prospect tracker, processing of internal and external F1 product orders and other ad-hoc requests.

  • Work with the internal Marketing team to identify fan engagement opportunities that promote licensed product, tracking and monitoring their performance and success.

  • Support with the seasonal update of the Licensing Style Guide, managing external agencies.

  • Produce presentations and other collateral that help the wider team monitor licensee performance as well as to present to prospects.

  • Remain up to date with the latest industry developments and best practices.

  • Coordinate approvals of partner creative assets including working with internal teams to provide creative feedback to licensees on product development and use of F1 IP.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.


  • To complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.

  • To operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements.

  • To undertake other duties within your capabilities as your Department Manager or Team Managers may assign to you from time to time.


  • 1-2 years’ experience in the brand licensing industry, ideally working on consumer products.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Background in Sports desirable.

  • Able to work independently and proactively to source new opportunities for licensees.

  • Detailed understanding of the sports / entertainment licensing industry.

  • Understanding of commercial partnerships and licensing business models.

  • Natural people skills with a high level of empathy and the ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of F1 desirable.
