Licensing Approval and Project Manager

Hendrick Motorsports, a championship-winning NASCAR operation, is currently seeking a Licensing Approval & Project Manager in the newly created licensing department with a positive attitude and passion for delivering best-in-class results.

The position requires exceptional focus on details and accuracy along with an understanding of all aspects of the licensing industry. The Licensing Approval & Project Manager will report to the Director of Licensing, E-Commerce & Strategy and will routinely work with external parties, including corporate partners, NASCAR licensing, and Hendrick Motorsports' licensees.

The candidate must have strong organizational skills and be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Licensed product approvals for four Cup Series teams, as well as historical rights.
  • Day-to-day point of contact on general licensing matters.
  • Build and manage relationships and programs with licensees and other business partners.
  • Manage and coordinate the storage of product samples.
  • Assist with trademark registrations and applications.
  • Coordinate with team members on driver autographs.
  • Maintain current and proper knowledge of licensing practices.
  • Execute licensing approval process by communicating with internal team and external parties.
  • Support product development process to ensure products meet brand standards and timelines.
  • Process approvals for products to ensure consistent presentation across all licensors and partners.
  • Assist with general authorization matters.
  • Report on licensed product statuses and issues.
  • Assist with resolving licensing issues as needed.
  • Work with business development to search out potential new licensees.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Licensing, E-Commerce & Strategy.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in licensing approvals and project management preferred.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and changes in scope or direction ensuring
  • projects are completed on time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently and multi-task different projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Knowledge of online approval system (OpSec) preferred.
  • Operates with professionalism and integrity at all times.
