At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and rising star George Russell.
The Team has set a new benchmark for Formula One success during the sport’s current Hybrid era, winning consecutive Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and the Constructors’ Championship in 2021.
We are looking for a Lead Indirect Buyer to lead the procurement of indirect components and services from the external supply chain in line with the Purchasing processes.
The role:
As a Lead Indirect Buyer, you will be responsible for:

Procurement of all indirect components and services and negotiate the price and delivery to support the business.

Provide leadership, development and support for other team members of the Indirect Purchasing Team.

Create strong, effective working relationships with stakeholders.

Lead and coordinate commercial and contractual negotiations.

Strive to maximise value for money and to ensure a professional process and control of expenditure is maintained.

Assist and manage the supply chain to support the business needs.

Lead the commercial interface with external suppliers.

Collaborate in working relationships with other stakeholders to promote strong team working.

Provide leadership direction and support to the Indirect Purchasing Buyers.

Create annual continuous improvement plans for cost, quality, delivery and people development.
