Motorsport Games is a global team. Our HQ is based in sunny Miami, Florida and hosts the Digital Marketing and Product Development teams. The 704 Games team, based in nearby Orlando, work on our NASCAR games franchise. In Moscow, Russia, we have a first-class development operation delivering the very latest technology for our future products as well as additional development and esports operations based in England. Our UK office is just metres away from the main entrance to the home of British motorsport at Silverstone Circuit.

Motorsport Games is currently building a team in Silverstone to lead development on its new and highly ambitious Racing Games. We are looking to grow a relatively small, tight-knit team, capable of delivering big ideas through experience, smart process, and world-class tools.

We are looking for a Lead Game Designer to join our growing team. They will work alongside the Directors of Design and Art in the development and execution of the game vision.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track-record of leading design teams on multiple high-profile titles. That said, if you have good experience of Racing gameplay, features and systems design development and are looking to step up to a lead role we'd love to hear from you too.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of design concepts to match the game’s vision
  • Responsibility for all design documentation being suitable for intended audiences
  • Guiding the intra-team design communication channels
  • Validation of all design scoping estimates
  • Responsible for working closely with the development team
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of all features
  • Management and prioritization of Design team's daily workload
  • Line-management, guidance and mentoring of the wider design team
  • Collaboration with the Directors of Design & Art to ensure best-in-class user experience

Requirements

  • Shipped a minimum of 1 game title as a Lead Designer or Design Director on a high-profile Racing game
  • Demonstrable track-record of managing and mentoring a game design team
  • Solid understanding of game design process and methodology
  • Fantastic games knowledge (both classic and contemporary), especially in Racing games
  • A demonstrable analytical and iterative approach to solving design problems
  • Ability to balance the impacts of deadlines and resources with creative and quality requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive level staff
  • Comfortable getting hands-on where necessary in design documentation tasks
