Junior Parts Despatch Coordinator

Purpose

This is an entry level role working within the Production Control Team reporting to the Parts Despatch Coordinator. You will be required to support our late freight logistic activities sending parts to and receiving from the track during the season. During our build period you will be assisting with the expediting of parts and assemblies through Production to the Build Team.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • To assist in the coordination of late freight logistics
  • To respectfully pack goods for late freight
  • To transact goods & assemblies through the ERP system
  • To assist with the coordination of event Shortage Lists
  • To distribute goods to the correct departments on return from events
  • To expedite parts through Production with delivery to the Build Team during the Car Build period

 

Skills & Knowledge Required

 

  • Have a strong desire in the successful on time delivery of parts to events
  • Have demonstrable experience of getting things done, working to tight deadlines, and thinking ahead
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Have a reasonable level of Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of F1 components and manufacturing methods is an advantage
  • Experience of reading engineering drawings is an advantage
  • Ability to remain calm and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
  • To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others
  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety

 

The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory / Brackley premises however there may be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.
