Job Description
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INSPIRED AND INNOVATIVE ENGINEER TO HELP GUIDE THE PROCESS BEHIND THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN
As a Junior FEA Tools Engineer you will work alongside the Structures team(s) to ensure we have the best tools and processes to enable the team(s) to transform designs into reality as fast and efficiently as possible without sacrificing reliability.
You should be familiar with FEA analyses and methods and be able to develop new process ideas from concept through to production.
The ideal candidate will need:
- An Engineering degree or similar qualification.
- An understanding of FEA and can translate complex mechanics into loads and boundary conditions in FEA
- To be proficient and comfortable programming with python
- To be comfortable working with Linux operating systems and queuing systems
- To possess a natural ability to find solutions when faced with difficult problems
Furthermore, experience with the following would be an advantage:
- A mechanical understating of the internal combustion engine
- Programming with C++
- Code management systems
- Commercial fatigue packages
- Commercial optimisation packages, specifically for topology optimisation
- Commercial multi-body dynamics packages
- Modelling composite materials
