Honda Performance Development, Inc., a leader in motorsports racing, is seeking a highly organized Junior Buyer/Planner contingent for its Santa Clarita, California (North Los Angeles County) location.
Position will be responsible for managing status of purchase quotes and orders of parts/materials with suppliers, material management and internal departments for HPD’s activities. Responsibilities include following up on late orders, quotes; running inventory reports for inventory status and purchase thereof; run reports against engines in the field to determine life of engine parts vs inventory level and maintain consumable inventory.
Requirements: In process of obtaining business or manufacturing degree; understanding of manufacturing/production process, available to work a minimum of 24 hours a work week (will work around school schedule); customer service experience; strong communication and analysis skills; exhibited leadership, problem solving, collaboration and self-directed skills; strong organizational and time management skills; PC skills for planning, reporting and activity tracking, proficient use of Microsoft Office – Word & Excel; able to lift and carry 20-30lbs; experience with inventory management is a plus.
