Hendrick Motorsports, a leader in the NASCAR series, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the accounting staff. The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of basic accounting concepts. This entry-level position is a great opportunity for a candidate looking to gain experience in all aspects of accounting.
Job Components:
- Ability to understand and apply the Company’s chart of accounts
- Ability to work with a 4 segment GL structure with various sales and use tax scenarios, and multiple forms of payment
- Understand, promote, and enforce the purchasing policy
- Data entry in the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales modules of the ERP system.
- Code & submit credit card expense reports
- Assist with bi-weekly vendor payment processing
- Process cash & check deposits
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Compile data requested for annual audits
- ERP system testing & upgrade support – actively upgrading from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to D365
- Execute inventory test counts and other internal audit procedures
- Support ISO 9001 implementation efforts
- Organize & maintain administration office (order supplies, filing, mail distribution, etc.)
- Cross-train with colleagues to provide coverage for PTO and workload balancing
- Assist with special projects as requested by the Controller & CFO
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 1 year related experience
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and self-motivate.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be customer focused to appropriately interact and communicate with varying levels of the organization
- Proficient in Excel with mastery of basic formulas
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, or D365 a plus.
