Position Description:
This position is responsible for analyzing critical integration data between inventory, accounting, and distribution applications in support of up to 6,000 NAPA Retail Store Systems. The Integrations Team manages data integrations for these store systems and is involved in the importing, exporting, and translation of data from system to system. The successful candidate should have a full working knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), ETL flat/batch file processing tools, and how to create and execute various SQL queries in support of data analysis for the RPM system.
This position is also responsible for contributing to the development of best-practice materials and helping to improve support processes for production incidents occurring related to these store systems.
Responsibilities:
- Track and Analyze Daily Import and Export Issues related to Inventory and Financial Records
- Day-to-day support of EDI file questions and problems
- Analyze and run data clean-up as necessary
- Write/Execute Database SQL queries as needed
- Assist with resolving / troubleshooting any data or software issues
- Create and verify integration mapping and processes between applications and systems
- Participate in the analysis of existing business processes and systems to recommend process and system enhancements.
- Participates in rotational on-call duties, which include after-hour, holiday and weekend support
- Other duties as assigned by management in relation to EDI and Integration Processes and functions
- Performs Root Cause Analysis of Issues identified by Support Staff
- May be involved in the installation of software releases, including critical and emergency installs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica
- Working Knowledge and experience with EDI
- Experience with large scale Oracle and Postgres Databases
- Technical Expertise
- Can write and execute database SQL queries
- Can analyze data and perform data cleanup
- Familiarity with Retail.net, Order Management Systems (JD Edwards), Mainframe, IBM Sterling are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
