IT Operations Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, manages the day-to-day operation of the Network Administration, Network Engineering, Help Desk, and Track Support groups. Analyzes, plans, implements, maintains, troubleshoots, and enhances organizational networks and systems.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Provide management, direction, and leadership for the team of technical support services
  • Collaborate with the Director of Information Technology, works to develop effective technical solutions and strategies based on business support needs
  • Serve as escalation point for the business users that feel an issue has risen beyond the expertise of the support specialist
  • Manage, budget, deploy and troubleshoot Azure resources and ExpressRoute
  • Ensure all applicable cybersecurity standards are in place and followed
  • Oversight for network security, endpoint security, threat mitigation and prevention, and data loss prevention
  • Meet with direct reports regularly and perform annual performance evaluations
  • Develop, implement, maintain standards documents, policies, and other service desk documentation
  • Maintains asset and software inventory. Works with IT leadership and finance teams to acquire new assets based on approved budgets and staffing needs
  • Responsible for the management of on-prem and cloud environments
  • Develop project plans and provide regular status updates on applicable projects and initiatives
  • Provide support at-track and help desk personnel by assisting with troubleshooting escalations

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering: Preferred

Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience

Computer Skills: Solid background in network administration and architecture. Familiarity with access control models and network security. Experience with network diagnostics, monitoring and analysis tools. Advanced knowledge of network operating systems. Proficiency with coding language.

Other Requirements: High level team building, leadership and communication skills. Ability to exercise initiative and resourcefulness. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Knowledge of professional office practices. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
