Inside Sales Representative - Group Tours (Seasonal)

Job Summary: 

Prospect and sell group tours to specified markets in the surrounding areas. Generate awareness of group tours through direct phone sales (a minimum of 30 calls per day), meetings and local networking events. Further develop and market our STEM Field Trip program to all local schools in the surrounding areas. Plan and schedule all tours while working closely with the tour operators, ticket office and guest services teams to ensure the success of all group tours and field trips.

Essential Functions: 

  • Generate new leads and sales for group tours through market research, cold/warm sales calls, field marketing and networking events.
  • Group Tours position will have an emphasis on target markets, including, but not limited to: car clubs/associations, military group, reunion groups, school groups, etc. 
  • Work with the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau to market group tours to groups visiting the Daytona Beach area.
  • Create and implement a STEM Field Trip curriculum and sales plan to emphasize Daytona International Speedway’s long term goals for STEM related activities.
  • Establish professional customer relationships with new clients and further relationships with past and current clients.
  • Submit weekly progress reports outlining incoming group tours, price quotes, progress and feedback from guests.

  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Flexible schedule, able to work some evenings and weekends. Open office hours 7 days a week 9:00am – 5:00pm
