Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates for Part-Time Officials openings supporting Pit Lane within the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, IMSA Prototype Challenge presented by Mazda, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo. These positions are responsible for understanding and enforcing the IMSA Sporting and Technical Regulations in a consistent, timely, and professional manner. Successful applicants will maintain a proficient and high level of communication with the Series stakeholders including participants, Team Managers, fellow officials and/or Race Control staff as determined by their supervisor.

Future Positions may exist in Pit Lane, Technical Inspection and in general Race Operations.

Preferred Qualification:

-Previous Racing experience (driver, team associate, official, etc.)

-Previous military experience

-Individuals that are comfortable with a physically active position

Education and experience:

Good written and oral communication skills, and experience/education in the field of mechanics.  Candidates must be able to identify and maintain a safe environment, be able to determine operational needs and execute with little direction. They must possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public and able to work on their feet for long periods of time.  Additional consideration is given to candidates with automotive engineering experience and/or robust mechanical aptitude. These positions require travel on both weekdays as well as weekends.
