Human Resource Specialist

APG/ RallySport Direct is hiring a Human Resource Specialist.

The HR Specialist supports all business units of the company and focuses on Benefits, Payroll Processing, Status changes and more. The position reports to the Human Resource Generalist.

The position will be located in Salt Lake City, UT or Rexburg, ID.

Where you’ll spend your time:

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all payroll functions for all divisions of the company.
  • Field questions from managers and employees regarding payroll matters, tax issues, pay deductions and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely fashion.
  • Post and reconcile payroll and benefit statements using the payroll and other systems
  • Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them to appropriate departments
  • Prepare and process all forms, paperwork, and files related to employee onboarding, termination, and general maintenance including benefit enrollment and changes
  • Conduct new hire orientation in person or over the phone
  • Responsible for ACA compliance and reporting
  • Notify employees of benefit eligibility and follow up to ensure timely enrollment
  • Work with employees and wellness vendors to implement wellness goals and initiates
  • Create and maintain training records for HR, Safety, and other departmental training as needed
  • Produce various reporting and presentations to assist with HR initiatives, including but not limited to hiring reports, turnover reports, staffing reports, employee satisfaction, exit interviews, etc.
  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to assisting with the recruitment and interview process, creating reports and presentations, answering phones, etc.
  • Assists with HR initiatives including, new hire orientation, retention initiatives, employee events, recognition events, and special projects.
  • Maintain efficient and accurate employee files
  • May assist with recruiting initiatives when needed
  • Other job duties as needed

You have:

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
    • Payroll and Benefits experience desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word

You might have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
  • SHRM or SPHR certification (preferred)
  • Experience with HRIS Software (ADP, ClearCompany)

Your work environment:

  • Office environment must be able to work at a desk and requires extended periods of sitting/standing

  • Ability to work with employees in different work environments including warehouses, shops, assembly, and fabrication areas
