HGV Technicians/Fitter Mechanics

HGV Technicians / Mechanics required in Llantrisant, Pontyclun

Blendini Motorsport and Car Chase Heroes are looking for two HGV Technicians/ Mechanics/Fitters (including one at senior/supervisory level) to join our workshop team, based in Llantrisant, Pontyclun near Cardiff. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, we are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced professionals who will be working on our fleet of HGV vehicles. This represents an essential part of our business, as it enables us to transport our vehicles from/to multiple events across the year.

You have a good track record of HGV mechanical and diagnostic experience. You will be repairing and modifying vehicle components as well as replacing them. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in this field and will have the ability to work towards deadlines and targets. Being self-motivated, organised and the ability to multitask are a must.

Here are some things we are looking for (but not limited to)

  • Good HGV engineering/ mechanical background
  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on the company’s fleet of HGV vehicles and trailers to DVSA standard
  • Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
  • Liaise with Workshop Manager to attain parts and make sure KPIs are met
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
  • Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.
  • Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
  • Assist with car loading and unloading during event periods.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and demanding environment, with a flexible approach towards meeting the needs of the business

Applicants are preferred to have but not essential:

  • Experience in Automotive/Motorsport and Class 1 vehicles
  • Class 1 HGV licence
  • Technical qualifications

Full UK driving licence required.
