Head of Product Management - Aftermarket

Your Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and lead the Product Management team by aligning the team’s goals with organizational strategies
  • Provide leadership & direction to Segment Product Managers on developing new products and managing the lifecycle of existing products
  • Direct the overall Product Management process to ensure it follows the product strategy, roadmap and priorities
  • Deliver monthly reporting by segment and channel identifying areas of strength or weakness and the actions required to improve sales volumes, revenues and margins
  • Provide analysis at the macro level by segment, channel and customer with a continuous improvement focus
  • Provide in-depth market/industry analysis
  • Maintain business relationships with strategic partners in order to align market needs to the strategic vision
  • Develop reporting and project templates along with metrics for use by Segment Product Managers
  • Monitor demand v. forecast v. inventory levels; participate in Sales & Operations Planning process
  • Ensure product profitability targets are achieved and maintained in close collaboration with Finance and Sales
  • Ensure robust product content and catalog data is created & maintained
  • Work closely with Marketing to insure required content is generated and distributed
  • Partner with catalog data providers to ensure accuracy and distribution
  • Lead and manage product development within the CRM database

Your Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 - 7 years of Product Management or similar experience
  • Automotive industry knowledge is required with demonstrated technical understanding
  • Motorsports knowledge preferred, but not required
  • Experience in leading and managing a Product Management team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong partnerships across multiple functions
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced team oriented environment; apply critical thinking principles and remain flexible
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize; sound business judgement and proven ability to influence others
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • SAP experience preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of Product Management experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary:

The Head of Product Management is a key management role responsible for the strategic development and execution of product planning throughout the product lifecycles, driving revenue in-line with growth expectations for various product segments. This position leads the Product Management team with a focus on enhancing the definition and growth of Bilstein in the aftermarket industry. The HPM understands and predicts market and customer requirements, while partnering with the Engineering team to deliver market leading offerings. The Head of Product Management is cross-functional in nature working closely with other departmental leaders such as Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they have adequate support to make informed decisions required to meet the company goals for revenue and customer satisfaction.
