Group Sales Representative - Seasonal

Summary:

Watkins Glen International (WGI) is currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to join the best team in motorsports, as a Group Sales Representative. This position will assist in the planning and development of regional and local group sales strategies and initiatives for event related activities at WGI.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls with the ability to up-sell callers into packages, groups, and hospitality opportunities
  • Extensive cold calling to potential group prospects on a daily basis (minimum of 50 outbound calls daily)
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospects and current clients over the phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Assist customer service efforts (mailing invoices, tickets, etc.)
  • Provide support to the Sales Department during events
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of college education preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Professional presentation and able to work with the public
  • Ability to work weekends
