About the role:

While the Company does not operate a formal Graduate Training Scheme, in the twelve years since the Company was formed we have developed more than ten graduates, many have moved on to fill vital roles in the Company. Initially the role will be based in our Machine Shop, producing complex patterns and moulds, as well as robotic trimming of production components.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To develop a thorough understanding of complex machining processes involving 3 and 5 axis CNC machines and support the development of automated machining processes using robots.
  • To develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of CNC and robotic programming.
  • To support our Production Engineers in the planning and operation of the Machine Shop.
  • To develop a thorough understanding of advanced composite production processes.
  • Quality Assurance compliance.
  • Health and Safety compliance.
  • Liaison with customers and suppliers.

Relevant Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and make a positive contribution to the operation of the Department.
  • Experience of working with CNC machines or robots would be advantageous, but training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Good IT skills preferably with some experience of CAD.
  • Evidence of hands-on practical experience (in composites or another discipline / hobby) and an ability to problem-solve are highly desirable.
  • You must be confident to work with minimal supervision and must be able to manage your time effectively in a fast-paced and constantly-evolving environment.
