Fuels Class 2 HGV Driver

We have an opening at our Aldermaston depot for an experienced Fuels Class 2 HGV Driver who can load and deliver fuels safely, promptly, efficiently and with environmental care to specified locations.

The Role

To load and deliver fuels safely, promptly and efficiently and with environmental care to specified locations within the WP Group operating area. Based out of our Aldermaston depot the post holder should also be comfortable to remain flexible in regards to location.

Key responsibilities

  • As the face of the company you must be a brand ambassador - representation of the company and the brand must always exceed the highest professional standards

  • Ensuring that care is always taken, and that Health & Safety Policies are adhered to

  • Regular liaison and cooperation with the Transport Office

  • To be a legal and safe driver and to comply with all DVSA requirements

  • Use of smart phone/tablets to contact/email with colleagues

  • Accurate and safe delivery of customer product within the specified industry guidelines

  • Complete daily vehicle checks

  • Proper and correct use of tachograph cards and modes

  • Wearing the proper PPE and company uniform

  • Maintaining good working order of company vehicles and equipment

Skills and Experience Required

  • 2 to 3 years’ heavy commercial vehicle driving experience essential

  • A valid UK driving license is essential as is a suitable class 2 LGV license

  • Experience of sale handling and operation of fuel delivery vehicle equipment highly desirable

  • Good communication skills

  • Good numeric and written standard competence and comfortable with using IT based Driver recording systems

  • ADR, PDP and Digital Tachograph Card Holder
