About The Role
Every Formula 1 event is driven by our skilled team members, working as one to bring the sport alive for fans around the world. As a Footage Researcher within our Creative Media division, this role will assist the team in the research and compilation of Formula 1 footage. Experienced in non-linear editing, you will have an understanding of Adobe Premier and all aspects of Formula 1 motorsport.
Role responsibilities:
- Review and log recent and historical Grand Prix event footage and create compilations to assist with edits being produced in-house, and for supply to external clients, broadcasters and Formula 1 Teams.
- Export and upload electronic copies of footage, ensuring picture and audio is correctly configured.
- Assist Producers in the research of current and historical Formula 1 stories, information and data.
- Provide research and compilation support to the race team during F1 events, working remotely from the Formula 1 Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill.
- Keep fully aware of all developments in Formula 1.

About You
Experience:
- Experience as a runner, researcher or production assistant in a broadcast environment
- Basic understanding of current TV production techniques and equipment
- Understanding of contemporary video file formats and codecs
- Ability to work unsociable hours depending on the time zone of each race event
- Able to work un-supervised but to the brief provided
- EU driving license
Desirable:
- Media qualification with emphasis on TV Post Production
- Working knowledge of VTR tape formats and television transmission standards
