SEBRING INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
This race track located in Sebring, Florida, is America’s oldest road racing track, with over six decades of storied history. It hosts the historic Twelve Hours of Sebring each year on the third Saturday of March on the 3.74-mile road course. The Twelve Hours of Sebring is one of the four endurance races on the IMSA schedule.
Sebring International Raceway seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Fire Rescue. This position will report to our Sebring, Florida location.
Summary
The primary role of every firefighter employed is to provide immediate response to any emergency situation encountered at Sebring International Raceway. Support events that takes place on course or in spectator areas and mitigate each situation with professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Primary responsibilities for a firefighter include the following:
- Scene safety
- Fire suppression
- Incident stabilization
- Patient assessment and or patient care
- Track cleanup and insuring the track is reopened as quickly and safely as possible.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications
Must be willing to work weekdays and weekends, and some evenings.
Position is safety sensitive and participates in the corporate Substance Abuse Program (SAP).
