Financial Analyst

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst, who will be based within our expanding Cambridge office, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Group Consolidation models for review by Group FC:
    • Flash / Actuals / Forecasts / Budgets and Plan
    • Project – Improvement to the models to add dynamic dimension and scale down links to Divisional analysis:
      • Addition of detailed Revenue / Gross Margin analysis
      • Dash Board tabs
      • Sensitivity analysis (volume changes / FX rate changes/ other)
  • Management accounts responsibility for Cosworth Group Holdings Limited
    • Flash / Actuals / Forecast / Budgets and Plans
  • Timely completion / submission of Group KPIs and review of Divisional KPIs
  • Investment appraisal / DCF analysis – Divisional support as required
  • Transfer pricing – project work to review existing processes and work with external advisers to propose updates / changes
  • Audit support as required including preparation of Consolidated notes for Group IFRS accounts and CGHL as a legal entity
  • Insurance information for annual renewal – leasing with all divisions to put data sheets together based on next years’ budget or draft budget
  • Assistance to Group FC with:
    • Weekly Cash Flow preparation
      • Forex management / hedging reporting
    • Weekly Outlook preparation
    • Information for UK and US Tax returns
  • Project – Investigate a new overlay reporting system – ERP agnostic and propose options for consideration by ET
  • Project – review and update Group Accounting Manual for final review by Group FC
  • Ad hoc reporting

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND CHARACTER

The successful candidate will be

  • CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified with at least 3 years PQE
  • would have worked in a Group consolidation environment
  • experienced in consolidation and year end accounts preparation under IFRS (US GAAP knowledge will be of advantage) proactive to new opportunities and challenges
  • strong communicator to both finance and non-finance colleagues
  • committed to working to tight deadlines where deliverables from Divisions are critical to meeting those deadlines
  • committed to driving completion of tasks and projects
