Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will lead the effort to establish financial operations for consumer finance and fleet sales in European counties with potential banking partners.  This person will work closely across the organization in both Europe and United States to implement a digital first finance strategy and deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers.  The role is with Fisker’s Finance group but with dotted line reporting relationship to leader in Europe. Work scope of this person includes project management, financial decision-making, risk management, planning & analysis, and budgeting.  This team member must be very resilient under pressure, have initiative, take ownership, and drive towards achievement of strategic goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with Fisker’s European team and internal digital solution team to develop business requirements for consumer, fleet financing and Fisker’s Flexee Lease program
  • Manage the relationship with external financing partners, jointly develop KPIs for origination, underwriting and account management, ensuring best-in-class customer experience. Facilitate periodic management review meeting and plan key agenda
  • Coordinate IT implementation effort to launch the consumer financing solution on Fisker’s website and mobile application. Support in finding a financing solution for fleet sales
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing team to benchmark competitiveness of financing offer, including APR and monthly payment, and determine subvention requirement 
  • Review program changes, validate cost of funds, verify subvention calculation, and manage billing and settlement between Fisker and the external financing partners
  • Develop financial model to forecast and track lifetime income, cash, and other key metrics. Produce timely and accurate managerial reporting summarizes financial and operational performance 
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and corresponding of HQ communications in a timely manner. Examples include performance variance analysis, key business develop updates, periodical/annual business plan, and other ad-hoc questions from HQ
  • Support month-end closing activities from a managerial standpoint
  • Support other short-term and long-term growth initiatives as required 

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of combined experience in project management, strategy, and finance related functions in an automotive captive finance company
  • Extensive vehicle financing knowledge specific to each EU country with background in product development, pricing, lifetime income, and financial modeling and controllership   
  • Hands on experience with financial planning, reporting and analysis, cash flow management to support business operations 
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer complex projects such as e-Contract, CRM, ERP that integrate business processes and facilitate financial information sharing
  • Proficiency in managerial accounting, regulatory requirements, audit, and compliance
  • Experience developing emission credit projects including legal and financial aspects
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Excel in modeling complex financial analyses 
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite of products
  • Strong analytical problem solving
  • Strategic planner and prepared communicator
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, nimble start up environment
  • Ability to develop strategy, processes, policies from the ground up

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends where needed to meet deadlines and company goals.
