Role Overview

You are responsible for all financial planning and analysis of the European operations. As the representative of the finance function in Europe you will support local senior leadership. This includes preparation and monitoring of budgets and presentation to senior management. You are responsible to setup processes and maintain internal controls. Also coordination of Year end close process, monthly closing for local legal entities and transfer price analysis as well as inventory control are to be established in cooperation with our manufacturing partner. 

You will also create and maintain cockpit charts for operations, select reporting tools and implement them as well as support worldwide implementation of ERP systems.

Actively pursuing cost savings opportunities at every opportunity is expected.

This role will start as a sole contributor but will grow a team as operations grow.

Responsibilities

  • Definition and execution of processes for 

    • Budget preparation 

    • Reporting internally to senior management

    • Establishing and standardizing KPI’s

    • Internal controls

  • Mid-term: Define responsibilities and profiles needed for a team to support all European entities

  • Consolidate and explain results from European entities

  • Drive and/or support profitability improvement projects in the region by establishing operational tracking and reporting as well as defining activities

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree in Business/Finance or related field (e.g. Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) 

  • 3-5 years experience in Controlling or Senior Financial analyst role

  • Leadership experience preferred

  • Excellent English skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • ERP system experience, SAP experience preferred

  • Accounting experience and understanding required  

  • Self starter with demonstrated initiative

  • Experience in driving a team

  • Detail oriented, Value oriented and able to see “big picture”

  • Presentation experience to senior management

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
