Finance Analyst - Production

Purpose of the Role:

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the McLaren Racing F1 Finance Partnering Team. The successful candidate will possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, with a high level of attention to detail, enabling the preparation of high quality, data driven insight, analysis and commentary to support the Manager, Finance Partner – Production and the wider Production Function.

 

Role Dimensions:

 

This role requires flexibility to working hours, working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and comfortable dealing with high volume of workload. You will work closely with Director / Head of level colleagues and all those with budget ownership responsibilities.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • Providing analysis support to the Manager, Finance Partner – Production and the F1 Production function
  • Supporting the preparation of business cases for investment appraisal and monitoring the capex process
  • Assisting in preparation of forecasts and budgets
  • Reviewing and reporting monthly Production spend against budgets and the FIA Financial Regulations
  • Preparation of presentation packs for business reviews
  • Developing internal Power BI reporting

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

 

  • Entry level ACA/ACCA/CIMA studier or individual with relevant finance experience looking to begin their studies
  • Excellent Excel & IT skills, Power BI desirable
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and organise to work effectively to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eager to learn and enthusiastic
