We are looking for a talented, and highly motivated, Simulation Development Engineer to join the Simulation Development Team within the Ferrari Formula 1 Team in Maranello (Italy).
You will work together with the team on the development and maintenance of complex simulation algorithms. As a result, your main focus will be on improving mechanical systems modelling and optimization methods, and deliver tests in line with time, budget and quality standards. Moreover you will use your insights and knowledge in order to develop novel engineering concepts to be adopted on the car.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will hold a Masters’ degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics (with highest academic results) and as a result you have a strong mathematical background.
You will have at least five years’ experience in physical modelling and/or optimization methods. Knowledge of vehicle dynamics is a clear advantage, and previous experience in motor racing (including Formula 1 as well as other racing series) will be considered a plus.
For this role you have we seek an individual with excellent practical skills in optimization methods as well as mechanical systems modelling, and capable to write and maintain scientific code as well as to program in C++.
