Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager is responsible for controlling the total maintenance of the facility, which is 350 developed acres. The position is responsible for all purchasing, receiving, budgeting and will assist in project management and scheduling.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates timely repairs and maintenance through the company’s ticketed system.
  • Prepares an annual budget and operates within that budget with regard to the expenses for production supplies, operating supplies, and maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment.
  • Maintains the equipment for fire, evacuation and disaster response.
  • Maintains up-to-date records for all state, federal and insurance semiannual and annual inspections.
  • Maintains record and keeps inventory of all company equipment and park-wide.
  • Works with the Facilities Director to facilitate a teamwork approach, combining the expertise and manpower of the department for the completion of a project.
  • Assist in hiring personnel, approve payroll and manage scheduling.
  • Managing the janitorial staff.
  • Creates, manages and reports completion of daily/weekly/monthly facility tasks.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Facilities Director.

Work Environment

The duties of this job mostly consist in an office administration setting. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions on facility grounds. The noise level in the work environment and facility grounds can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED diploma or equivalent number of years’ experience.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate degree.
  • 3 years in property management and/or facility maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in Landscaping a plus.
  • Experience with Just in Time Purchasing.
  • Experience in Special Event Venues a plus.
