Alpine F1 Team have an opportunity within our Power Unit Integration Group for an External Test and Design Engineer.
External Test and Design Engineer - The Role
This newly formed position will be responsible for coordinating all external testing in Viry or elsewhere, commissioned by Enstone and vice-versa, including but not limited to: driveline dyno testing, heat rejection system, fuel system, hydraulics and Power Train Test Bench (PTTB). You will also have design engineering responsibilities from initial concept to running on the race car, where you will be responsible for designing parts, tooling and components, working to the targets and deliverables specified and agreed with the relevant Senior Design Engineer and Project Planning team, while achieving the necessary quality standards.
External Test and Design Engineer – The Person
The successful candidate will have experience of working in motorsport, automotive or aerospace industries. You will possess technical skills in Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems and Instrumentation plus demonstrable Mechanical Engineering capability of Engineering first principles.
