Job title: Events Sales Executive
Reports to: Events Sales Manager
Direct Reports: N/A
Job location: 1 Eton Street, Richmond, TW9 1AG
Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm plus extra hours as and when necessary
Appraisal: Regular structured annual appraisal with Sales Manager to gauge development
against duties
Overall Purpose of Job:
To maximize stand sales revenue through personal contribution to achieve and exceed specified sales targets in conjunction with other members of the team
Established duties:
- New business development through telephone and face-to-face contact and where necessary, network events and exhibitions
- Sell the benefits of exhibiting as opposed to other forms of marketing activity
- Source new sales leads and database management
- Take responsibility for achieving individual KPI’s as set by Events Sales Manager
- Understand the Show’s market-place, why it’s exhibitors and visitors support and attend it
- Take responsibility for own areas and sectors of the Show
- Take responsibility for specific tasks as requested by Events Sales Manager
- Provide an estimate of client’s revenue for monthly sales forecast
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records
- Provide regular and relevant feedback to Events Sales Manager with details of current sales activity to assist monthly sales forecast
- Develop understanding of the exhibition industry
- Maintain a professional attitude to all company matters always
- Efficiently answer or redirect all incoming enquiries relating to the show or company
Skill sets and core requirements:
- Able to communicate, engage and sell at Senior Management and Director level within client base including blue-chip organizations - able to adopt a consultative approach to selling and form strong business relationships with clients
- Understand the role of trade and industry associations who are relevant to the show
- Good negotiator and communicator, in both written and verbal form

Special Relationships:
- Events Sales Manager and Events Sales Director – to review and monitor individual sales progress
- Marketing team - to advise of developments and opportunities highlighted by sales activity
- All other members of ASI sales team in working to achieve monthly and overall sales targets
- Operations Team – for show and stand logistics
- Media partners – in conjunction with Sales Manager, maintain and develop relationships with both internal and external media partners who are directly involved with show
- Accounts Department - sharing relevant information such as stand cancellations and any special payment arrangements
