Electronics Engineer

Renault Sport Racing have an excellent opportunity to join our team at a tremendously exciting time in our history within Formula 1.   Within our factory in Enstone, we are looking to hire the most talented individuals to support our mission. As part of this, we have a newly created role of Electronics Engineer.

Electronics Engineer – The Role

Working within our Aerodynamic experimental group, the role will be responsible for analysing and improving the engineering data from our wind tunnel and other experimental rigs. This requires evaluation of our existing sensors, instrumentation, control systems and our experimental approach. This is followed by recommendations and delivery of the required improvements. Development of monitoring and analysis software as well as electronics hardware will feature as a significant element of this work.

The post holder will be accountable for:

•             Understanding of testing practices and complex instrumentation systems

•             Error analysis of existing sensors and experimental hardware

•             Development of control strategies to improve our experimental accuracy and efficiency

•             Development of tools to enable effective health monitoring of our experimental facility

•             Preparation and presentation of technical reports

•             Dealing with external suppliers and partners

Electronics Engineer – The Person

The successful candidate must be a driven individual with a desire to identify and improve our experimental systems and operations. They will be educated to degree level and possess 3-5 years relevant experience.

Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and delivering high quality work to crucial deadlines. They will be a team player and possess excellent communication skills.
